Saad Toma

Saad Toma is the General Manager of IBM Middle East and Africa.

He leads IBM’s business, including technology and ecosystem sales organization, consulting practice, the technical community and the IBM Research organization for the region. A results-oriented leader, he is also responsible for delivering client success, building and leading high-performing teams and spearheading IBM’s go-to-market efforts.

Under Saad’s leadership, IBM is on a mission to become the leading technology and consulting expertise provider in the Middle East and Africa. He has a proven track record for unlocking tangible business value for leading clients, working closely with governments on national agendas, empowering local talent with future-proof skills, and elevating ecosystem partnerships.

Saad is a highly sought-after advisor and thought leader with deep strategy, business transformation and industry knowledge. His expertise in the field of Hybrid Cloud, AI for Business, Sustainability and Automation strategies has helped clients across the Middle East and Africa successfully master their digital transformation journey.

Prior to this role, Saad was the General Manager for IBM Asia Pacific’s Global Technology Services, where he was responsible for GTS’ performance across five markets: Australia & New Zealand, ASEAN, Korea, Singapore, as well as India & South Asia. He has also served as the Chief Operating Officer for GTS globally based in the US. Saad also led the business for IBM in Canada and EMEA.

Saad started his career as an engineer in IBM’s Hursley software laboratory in the UK. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, an MBA from the University of Southampton, and he has completed Executive Education at Harvard University in Boston.

At leisure, Saad enjoys spending time with his family, tennis, theater and travel.
