Işıl Kılınç Gürtuna is the General Manager and Technology Leader of IBM Turkey.

Işıl Kılınç Gürtuna, who has more than 20 years of experience in the technology and banking industries, was appointed as the General Manager of IBM Turkey as of July 1, 2023. Gürtuna, who joined IBM Turkey in 2020, previously assumed leadership roles for the digital and commercial group, partner ecosystem and public cloud business.

As IBM Turkey's Head of Technology Sales since 2022, Gürtuna has focused on customer management, data and artificial intelligence, sustainability, hybrid cloud, and automation/integration solutions. In her new role, Gürtuna is leading IBM's country operations with a center to expand the reach of hybrid cloud and artificial technology intelligence and expand IBM's digital footprint in Turkey.

After graduating from Hacettepe University, Department of Economics in 1996, Gürtuna's professional journey began at esteemed organizations such as Türk Ekonomi Bankası-TEB (BNP Paribas Group) and Deutsche Bank, where she played key roles in Operational Risk Management and Supervisory Board, enriching her skill set and laying the foundation for her future success. Prior to IBM, Gürtuna held key leadership positions at Oracle, the Central and Eastern Europe (EE&CIS) Region, where she led sales development, business partner and customer development actions for the financial services technology and business application solutions.

She is an advocate of positive leadership, empowerment of the team, and proactive change management. Her expertise spans global sales management, new business development, change management and more, making her a prominent figure in the technology and banking industries. Through transformational leadership, Gürtuna aims to shape the industry's future and inspire future generations of technology leaders.
