Istanbul, Türkiye – [11.06.26] – IBM today announced the expansion of its collaboration with Halkbank, one of Türkiye’s leading financial institutions. Through this expanded collaboration, Halkbank aims to further advance its technology infrastructure with a focus on application modernization, end-to-end observability, generative AI, and data-driven approaches.

As part of the expanded collaboration, Halkbank plans to modernize its mission-critical workloads on the IBM Z platform; and to make its operations more predictable, automated, and resilient through AIOps and data-driven approaches supported by solutions such as Confluent and HashiCorp. This is expected to help the bank manage increasing data volumes more effectively, improve operational agility and efficiency, and strengthen regulatory compliance.

In line with this strategy, solutions to be implemented include Confluent, which will enable seamless and real-time data streaming across systems to support real-time data processing and more responsive systems across the bank; and HashiCorp solutions, which will enhance infrastructure automation and security processes, particularly by establishing a more centralized and effective structure for areas such as certificate lifecycle management. Together with IBM z17 systems, this approach will support the modernization of the core infrastructure while ensuring continuity, high performance, and strong security standards for mission-critical workloads.

This will enable the bank to respond more quickly to customer needs, improve service reliability, and streamline internal operations. 

This integrated approach is expected to provide a strong foundation for scaling Halkbank’s data and AI-driven use cases, while supporting faster and more reliable decision-making across the organization.
